Catherine has represented a variety of companies in asbestos and products liability personal injury cases, defending them as the lead trial counsel in consolidated trials involving a variety of plaintiffs. She has a wealth of experience litigating asbestos-related cases before the federal and state courts as well as before a variety of supreme and appellate court bodies.

During her tenure at Brobeck, Vogel handled asbestos cases for respondents, including those in the Asbestos Claim Facility in Northern California. The cases files included SEAR forms (Short encapsulated Evaluative reports) which contained confidential data about the plaintiffs. The files contained medical reports, work histories, and the list of asbestos-related products that plaintiffs worked with or near. Vogel was required to use access to these files, and she could also look over the SEAR forms of any case at her current employer.

The Bowles Rice Asbestos Team, in addition to its extensive experience in trial and appellate work, is widely acclaimed for its ability to reach settlements on behalf of its clients.
